More tools you got to work with, more enthusiastic you go with. Vr is a good platform to experience something new or something old but in a new way. We are all fans of something . There are lot of people whos fan of Blade runner and developers making great stuff as you see, even tho is could be for narrow group of people. Some making mods for old games to be playble in VR. For example Half life 1
Sorry! but what the hell are you talking about?
'Normal' person? Nice toy for 1-2 hour? Funny feeling?Pro equipment? And ofcourse your favorite... porn!?
I made that thread to ask people if someone is at least somehow interested in it, so we could talk about. But definitely not made this for arguing with someones opinion. Who is not even interested in it.
And dont say its not the time for vr. When its then? Or you think something happening just in one moment of time? Its surly step by step progress. And looking where VR is now with its prices and content for it. It is a very good looking alternative for gamers and not only for them
There is one good word that can describe the need of people to buy VR and it is 'immersion'
Keeries im really tired of your nonsense so please stop posting in that manner as it really does not coming enywhere. Your point is clear and im trying hard to respect you after all that but unless you have nothing to post here that will benefit to continue interesting talk about VR. Dont respond Thank you
Mate, I didnt mean to offend anyone. I just shared my opinion on VR that they are still too expensive and not really popular enough yet, without enough support in many popular series of games. However, youre the one using offensive words like calling my opinion a nonsense and asking me to stop taking the part of the discussion. I mentioned porn just to add a little bit of humor, as most of my opinion was rather meant to be humorous than offending in any way.
After all, going all the way with aggressive language and telling me not to respond is really bad way of talk.
However, to avoid being completely out of topic, but also for better understanding of VR myself:
-> What specs of PC do you have to have to be able to play all those games? Are even the popular game consoles like XBOX or PS able to run VR game in any satisfying resolution? No offense, just curiosity... And how much would the minimum specs PC cost? I still think the gogles itself are just a tiny part of the cost of all the VR set (including the PC or whatever you use to render the graphics). I tried it on an old iPhone and it looked really weak if it goes about the graphic quality. It all looked like games from 2000s

Was talking to you wishing you wrote that in first place- constructive and good question
And that is really good point- the price of PC. It really matters of what headset you pick. By your talk you have experience with old Iphone. Is that same Iphone from shop where you bought cigarettes? Im very sorry about your bad experience That is where your negative reaction about VR might coming? I would highly recommend you to try Oculus rift or HTC vive or any other 2gen headset or if possible ( rearly ) try new headsets like Pimax with 4k/5k/8k resolution. You will have clear picture of what actually VR capable of. There lot of malls with such places where you can try VR.
Returning back to PC specs you need, you can check apps on official sites of Oculus and Vive that they provide to check your pc for specs if its VR Ready. But honestly I had old pc with old gtx970. And it ran almost all vr titles that I played. Vr is very demanding on card as it doubles the screens. Also have to keep up the 90 fps or your brain goes 'No no nooo!' If your PC doesnt meet recommendations it still can keep those 90 frames by reprojection ( its basically adds extra frames ) for more info from reddit
But if you got lowend pc it surly doesnt mean you cant use your pc for gaming. By that i mean you can play othergames that are not that demanding. And theres a lot. Beat saber for example can be played on phone VR. If its not demanding game doesnt mean you wont have fun by playing it.

For those foolish people who ever tried or willing to try VR. Must warn you! You on your boat of Happiness, might meet the underwater rocks in face of cruel reality. By that I mean that there might just might be small chance you have sea sickness. Locomotion methods in VR meant to make you move in game ( Slightly we touched that in previous posts ). In short - your brain cant calculate what is going on when you sliding/spinning/turning but feels you standing still. Its like real sea sickness when you see sea level that is not moving but your boat is shaking and moving differently. Can assure you that this is question of time. I my self had sea sickness but also worked as engineer on passenger liner for half year. In VR I had same. Was very difficult to get used to slide locomotion. But I was so into VR that this did not stop me. Now look at me playing Elite with spinning and turning, Seriouse Sam Fusion edition with very high speed movement. Also I have less fear of heights now
For those who still on track of getting VR and knowing that they have sea sickness. There are other solution to deal with it! rather than just forcing your self go thru all that headache. Next video will show different types of locomotion. Hope this will be useful and interesting for you
