Hi all,
Following this thread:
http://www.sog-team.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=335
We have added a new COOP server for a trial never seen before at SOG.
We present Sog-team.co.uk ELITE! on The Stetchkov Expansion.
This server is designed to mirror special forces equipment and all non lethal weapons have been removed.
Pepperspray, all armour and suspect weapons have also been removed.
Note, rules of engagement have not changed. Penalty points still apply. The server is not designed as a kill house.
Enjoy!

Interesting, a SOG SAS server.

How is this going to work?
Do you realize SAS-Mod is not penalizing any kills of suspects at all?
You can even kill cuffed suspects without penalty.
Or is Jessica seperatly evaluating RoE?
Btw, what happend to the SOG SEF server project? Is it completely canceled now?
Orion, SSF mod is different a lot. It was a pretty good mod, but never played it online actually (the most recent version is 10 years old now).

Greetings
Ah should have been more specific...
The server has no mods... It is just called SAS.
The only difference is we have made it a lethal weapon server only and allowed only guns that special forces would use.
In regards to SEF.... Sander will know but I believe we had problems with stability so cancelled the project.

Ah, i see. Didn't try to join there yet...
So thanks for clearing things up Matt.
Still interesting, but i see problem in this case with non-compliant civs. I think you get penalty for punching civilians ("injured hostage" message)?
That will be neccessary when going full lethal, though. :suspicious:

Greetings
Our expansion servers don't count hostage punches or any civ injured, just kills
only vanilla servers give a penalty if civs are injured.

The SAS server runs TTS. This situation won't be a problem unless management decides to have an SAS-variant on vanilla.
At which point, that'll be a bridge to be crossed then.

SEF was nice but to unstable we still have the files. But since we got rid of SEF the custom server is stable. If there is a lot of need for A mod server we can look into that but then we need options so we can make a poll.
Do keep in mind a mod server will need more system resources as it will require its own virtual machine to protect the other game servers.
