Dear Community

Since being founded in 2006, a good group of friends and many fun memories have been seen at our community, Special Operations Group.

Following a period of regular expense and limited donations, we have taken the difficult decision to not renew our famous SWAT 4 server and reduce website costs to a bare minimum. To do so, we aim to remove the website forums here at site, instead moving to Discord for the near future.

I am determined as founder of this community to keep the website running for as long as possible. This ensures friends past and present can still find this community and reunite with those they fondly remember over the last 18 years.

The community has seen a gradual decline over the last 10 years, as friends move on in their life or move into other games. Therefore we will officially remain dormant, while we gradually phase out and wind down the Special Operations Group name, website and community.

The time we remain in dormancy will depend on any further donations received and any demand from our friends & community members. When support in this capacity finally ceases, with great sadness it will be time to say a final goodbye and end our long history in gaming.

Thank you to all of you who have supported us over the years. I personally will never forget the great times, laughs and memories made when active in this fantastic community. It was an honour to have founded this space on the internet for you and serve alongside you in the SWAT team.
