@sander:
No, if you overwrite original files, you have installed the mod incorrectly!
The mod is not overwriting any files!

You need to create a new folder in your Swat4 base directory, and there all mod files go.
You can join vanilla and TSS servers when launching the game through your normal shortcuts without any problem.

If you wanna start SEF mod, you have to launch the .bat file "SEFLaunch.bat" within the new created mod folder (just double click).
To get a proper server list ingame you should install this server list fix:
https://github.com/sergeii/swat-patches/tree/master/swat4stats-masterserver/

Also see my other posts, but don't hesitate ask questions in case of problems.
You can also ask questions or discuss with the developers on discord:
https://discord.gg/RfujTnF
-> There is a seperate SEF section with some channels.

Greetings
Hey solidusbucket,

i have looked into the mod before as you can see the history above.
but my problem with the mod is that it overwrites files of vanilla and tss.
that will prevent u from playing on a non modded server, if you find a way to be able to do both besides 2 swat 4 directories then i would be all game.
Normally it should just create a new folder in your swat 4 folder where it says
 • content
 • content expansion
 • SEF Mod
Something like that without overwriting the other ones, the batch knows to take the resourses like engine and swatequipment.ini things out of the mod folder.

I'm so glad you decided to try it!

Yes, you can still play vanilla :)

I go back and forth to the SOG server on vanilla and single plyaer on SEF because the SOG server is just such a high quality!

I was in the SEF server today and it was playing with choppy frame rate and intermittent lags. If this is what others are finding, it may be time for a restart.
