Bug on player report page

Post by Columbo »

Hello,
i wanted to report a teamkiller from the TSS coop server.
Since im a regular player (no admin), i not have an IP from that guy.

So i choose
1) Report Player >> No IP Address >> filling in Name, Server, Incident date and human verification
2) on the following screen there is no human verification box and i click next
3) Error message that human verification failed (skips back to step 1)

So basically there is a verfication box missing at step 2 (or the "double check" need to be removed)

https://ibb.co/j2UV9c
https://ibb.co/mERA9c
https://ibb.co/iQSHpc

I tested this with IE, Firefox and Opera.

Greetings

Hey,
i actually do have evidence in form of a screenshot.
https://ibb.co/hO6S5H
Also a recruit has witnessed the situation, namely |SOG|deki

But this post wasn't meant to report the incident!

Hereby i report a bug in your "report a player" form (http://www.sog-team.co.uk/report/insert.php). A user can fill the form with all info - but one can't finish the report process (if you go a certain report path).
Because there is a verification box missing (see my first post and the pics there).

Greetings :)

You first need to click the i have read and agree radio button at the top and then the human verification will show up as it works for me on chrome :)

Thanks for reporting the issue mate.

It is not a bug in that the human verification box only appears once. This is fine. The issue was that the human verification was not working correctly. The code typed did not match the code shown, even if it was correct.

I have now fixed this. Please try again and let me know

Hey Matt,
unfortunately its still not working.

Just wanna say i already made reports with that system (http://www.sog-team.co.uk/report/dbdetails.php?id=22)!
So i know there is something not working right in this case.

It worked when using the option "Display Recent Players (SWAT 4)". This time i made the report a little later (20 mins) and the player is not listed there anymore. So i have to use the "Continue" option.

BUG: I try to describe more detailed what way is not working:
1) I select "I have read & understood the above"
2) At "IP Present?" i choose "No IP Address"
3) At "Options:" i choose "Continue"
4) I enter the data at "Name", "Select server", "Incident Date" and verification code (pic1)
https://ibb.co/j2UV9c
5) I click "next" and a message appears
"We have found some matches to the data you have provided.
If the player is listed, select them below:"
The player is correctly listed and i make the selection (pic2)
https://ibb.co/mERA9c

-> So far everything seems to work

6) But when i now press next i get pic3
https://ibb.co/iQSHpc

The error box states "human verification failed", although in step 5) there was no verification box!

Its probably best if you test this steps yourself to see what im talking about.

Also note: im regular user and have todo this without being logged in. Might also be a potential error source...

I have tested it exactly as you said not logged in. Works now.

I think you need to clear your browser cookies and then try. Let me know

Well,
i cleared the browser cache and was able to submit the report now. Thanks Matt.

http://www.sog-team.co.uk/report/dbdetails.php?id=70

Not sure if the evidence made it through tho. It says "This entry has no evidence!", although i attached a picture when submitting.
But i guess they are displayed only after admin reviewal? In this case it should be good now.

I think that's causing the issues
